I've been obsessed with getting a good photo of this old gas station ever since seeing the hand painted sign on the carport, which reads "1910 built for cars 2010 torn down for cars". It's scheduled for demolition next week for a road-widening project, and I thought it would make a great black and white. I was hoping to take a photo in sunny weather this weekend, but the side got torn off the building today, so I'm not sure if it will last until the weekend. If it does, I'm going to try to get a higher contrast photo and I'll post it along side this one.

Melissa- Gas Station 1910-2010

You should document the demo sequence as it is transforming everyday. I think it is important to record buildings and communities as they transition. It would be cool to take the scene from the same viewpoint as well as others.
