Well, this isn't 10' from my door, we spent the weekend at a dance competition where I had just gotten done helping put a prop together when I saw this dancer watching back stage and thought it would be a nice shot. I took it in color but I think the b&w conversion works pretty well.
Really like the first shot! The silhoutte and b/w work very well.

ReplyDeleteVery Degas-ish. Being at the right place at the right time! WOW - lots going on in these images. I like how the black shape contrasts both in light, sense of place, stillness/movement and classical/contemporary. It's almost as if the ghost of Classical ballet is looking into the future of dance! Very intriguing shots. What do you think about the thick vertical black line in the 2nd shot? Would be interested to see the color versions for comparison.
